We've got some big news. Or little, depending on your point of view.

The British Journal of Urology has published a paper in which it analyzed the penis size of 15,000 men around the world to find the average penis size.

So, here's the dong and short of it: an average flaccid penis is 3.6 inches, while an erect one measures 5.16 inches. For girth (don't act like you're not curious), average circumference is four-and-a-half inches.

Men in the Congo reportedly have the biggest members, measuring 7.1 inches (we'll wait while you make the obligatory tripod joke).

Researchers say the data should provide relief to men who worry they're a little small in the pocket. As researchers say:

Some men who are preoccupied and severely distressed with the size of their penis may also be diagnosed with body dysmorphic disorder (BDD) "where the preoccupation, excessive self-consciousness and distress is focussed on their penis size or shape."

So, yes, size does matter, but it seems that size is in the eye of the beholder. It's an important fact to remember since these scientists point to previous studies which say 85 percent of women are content with how big their partner is, a sharp contrast to the 55 percent of men who feel small.

It's an interesting study, but can someone explain why didn't they take it a step further and ask each man their shoe size? There's a whole myth waiting to be proven or debunked right there.
