What do you do when your cat shows up covered in anti-freeze and on death's door? Give it a drink, of course.

A British family found their cat Missey the victim of a cruel prank when the animal returned home doused in poisonous liquid anti-freeze. The father and daughter quickly sprang into action by taking the cat to their local vet clinic.

The doctors at the clinic hooked the cat to an I.V. and slowly dripped a half-liter of vodka into the cats blood stream. Absolut-ly crazy, right? Well, that decision actually saved the cat's life.

The vet, Dr. Andrew Miller, said that while the process was "quite unusual," the ethanol in the vodka counteracted the kidney-damaging effects of the anti-freeze.

I hate to hear about animal abuse, but it's great that this story has a happy ending. Yes, the cat did become quite drunk, but is expected to make a full recovery!
