Since the "theme" for the 2013 Academy Awards is music in movies, it makes sense that Oscar-winner Jennifer Hudson would be called upon to perform the big number from the movie that won her the prize, 'Dreamgirls.' Here she is singing a bit of 'And I'm Telling You.' This number followed a pretty jazzed-up bit by Catherine Zeta Jones in a musical medley from 'Chicago.' What do you think of Hudson's performance? If you're not in the know, a movie has been "sweded" when somebody does a low-budget recreation of it. Now that you know, look at these little kids doing all the movies nominated for Best Picture Oscars. While these are not the most faithful swedes we've ever seen, they are
These pictures from the Academy Awards ceremonies of days gone by show something different. People smiling genuinely. Bing Crosby is smoking a freaking pipe! We suspect Elizabeth Taylor may have drawn on her own eyebrows. Feast your eyes on these old pics for some real Oscar glamour.

Will Ferrell filmed an ad for Old Milwaukee that aired during the Super Bowl last night. But you probably didn't see it. The ad only played in three places -- Sherman, Texas, Ardmore, Oklahoma, and Glendive, Montana.
Ed Koch, who was mayor of New York City from 1978 to 1989, died today from congestive heart failure. He was 88 years old. Older New York residents might remember him as the mayor whose terms were plagued by the crack and AIDS epidemics of the '80s, as well as police brutality and corruption
Beyonce decided that the time to address whether or not she was lip-syncing the national anthem at the presidential inauguration is now. You know, when everybody's already forgotten about it. Thanks for the reminder.
In case all those photos of random strangers with leaf blowers pointed at their face we shared didn't satisfy your hankering for people with scary mouths, here's video of Anderson Cooper doing it on his show.
You are going to want to turn the sound down for this one. It's a person nearly getting run over by a plane. Obviously they're going to scream. And swear. So, NSFW. Also it's terrifying. Enjoy!
