Football fans are no doubt excited for the 2014 Super Bowl, but even non-sports fans can find something to enjoy. No, we're not talking about Bruno Mars, we're talking about the Super Bowl movie trailers that will be airing during the commercial breaks. With the 2014 Super Bowl set to air on FOX at 6pm on February 2, we thought now would be the perfect time to run through what we know is going to debut during the big game and what surprises could still be in store.
The 'Between Two Ferns' web series is one of the most consistently hilarious on the internet; the only downside being that Zach Galifianakis and crew make so few of them (the last one was back in September with guest Justin Bieber). Well, to make up for their absence, 'Between Two Ferns' is back with a jam-packed holiday special with Tobey Maguire, Samuel L. Jackson and even a musical guest, Arcade Fire.
After months (years!) of waiting, the official 'Godzilla' trailer is finally here! If you've seen either of the two Comic-Con trailers, you'll recognize some of the footage in this new 'Godzilla' trailer (in theaters next week with 'The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug'), but plenty of new stuff in here to get you excited too. Check this out!
We've seen some odd product placement/endorsement deals in our time, but this one just might take the cake. With a slogan that reads, "Give your little Anchorman the support he needs," 'Anchorman 2' and Jockey have teamed up for a series of Ron Burgundy-inspired tighty-whiteys. Except they're not white and come in colors like "Sex Panther Red" and "Beard of Zeus Blue."
You might think you've seen everything when it comes to the original 'Star Wars' trilogy, but today we present to you a blooper reel from 'A New Hope' (then still titled 'The Star Wars') that was previously unseen.
Since publishing the last 'Calvin and Hobbes' comic strip on December 31, 1995, Bill Watterson, the notoriously private creator behind the series, has only granted one interview (an e-mail exchange with his hometown newspaper, the Plain Dealer, on the 15th anniversary of the strip). Many have tried to get in touch with Mr. Watterson over the years (and a documentary is scheduled to hit theaters this year on that very topic) and almost all have failed.
But, inexplicably, Watterson has emerged from hiding and spoke at length about the legacy of 'Calvin and Hobbes' and the potential for an animated movie.
'The Heat' was one of this summer's surprise hits making over $200 million worldwide. Almost immediately a writer was hired to write 'The Heat 2' and a sequel was in motion, but Fox forgot one important thing: asking Sandra Bullock if she had interest in returning. The Oscar-winning actress flatly told The Wrap at the 'Gravity' premiere in Los Angeles, "I’m not doing a sequel to 'The Heat.'"
After 'The Lone Ranger' opened to poor reviews and disappointing box office, Johnny Depp was criticized for his recent acting choices. From 'Pirates of the Caribbean 4' to 'Dark Shadows,' many accused Depp of going through the motions, all-too-happy to cash his paycheck to star in whatever Disney or Tim Burton was asking him to star in, regardless of the quality.
In a related story, Johnny Depp is in final negotiations to return as The Mad Hatter in Disney's 'Alice in Wonderland 2.'
Harrison Ford was a guest on last night's 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' to promote his movie '42' and naturally the discussion came around to 'Star Wars: Episode 7' and the future of the franchise. Ford tried to stay mum and say he couldn't talk about anything 'Star Wars,' but when he agreed to some questions from the audience, things got heated and Ford walked off the set. Watch video of the incident below.
The question posed in the headline is probably one you've never wondered in your entire life, yet here we are and we have the answer for you. Via the magic of Photoshop, someone has replaced all the guns in famous movie scenes with a good ole thumbs up. Let's see what happens when gun control goes crazy.
