Lubbock's Bayless Elementary School got into the giving spirit Friday afternoon with an ice bucket challenge to benefit United Way.

Rather than follow the expected rules of the ice bucket challenge that lit up Facebook feeds throughout the summer, the school put its own spin on it.

Two buckets with the names of Principal Lisa Davis and Assistant Principal Daniel Heberly were set up, and staff and students voted for who they wanted to see doused with ice water by placing money into two buckets. The bucket that had the most cash in it determined the person who would covered in ice water.

Based on the photos below, both participants got involved despite the outcome.
