Easter is just around the corner this year, Sunday, April 5. I wanted to share some bible verses that have spoken to me and hopefully will speak to you, too.

These bible verses aren't just about Easter, but about the profound love that God has for each one of us.

We always see movies and shows on television about God, Easter and Jesus around this time of year, whether it's The Ten Commandments, Jesus of Nazareth, The Passion, The Bible, etc.

That's why Easter happened. He loves us. He understand us. He wants to be close to us. He wants to help us, comfort us, prosper us, heal us and cover us with His strength, power, beauty, kindness and generosity.

    God Delights In Us

Zephaniah 3:17  The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.

Can you believe that God actually delights in you?  That He sings over you?  His love for you is infinite and He isn't mad at you.  He thinks you are awesome!

God Is Concerned About What Concerns Us

1 Peter 5:6-7   Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.

I pray this verse almost every day.  So many things try to creep in and make us miserable with worry and stress.  When we humble ourselves under God's mighty hand, that simply means we come to Him and acknowledge that He is bigger than all of our problems and that we trust Him, by giving Him all of our cares, He promises to help us with each one of them and lift us up out of the stress and worry.

    God Isn't Mad At Us

Psalm 86:15 -  But you, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.

God isn't mad at us.  He doesn't wring His hands with disgust at our mistakes and human frailty.  He understands us better than we understand ourselves and He wants to help us in every way.

God Turns The Bad Things Into Good Things

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

The most amazing part of this verse for me is that when we are saved and have a relationship with The Father and The Holy Spirit, through Jesus, everything we do, say and encounter, that God works it all into a plan for good for us, as we focus on Him and trust Him to do what He says.  You can stand on the promises of God.  He is who He says He is, and He cannot lie.

God See Us Through Eyes Of Compassion

Psalm 103:13-14  As a father pities his children, so the LORD pities those who fear Him. For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust.

You know, God knows what He's getting with us.  Nothing we have every done or said or will do or say comes as any surprise to God.  He knew what He was getting when He made us and He loves us. He also knows we live in a hard world.  He also knows the frailty of our humanity.

Nothing Is Impossible Ot Too Hard For God

    Mathew 19:26
Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."

This verse has helped me time and time again.  Things that are absolutely out of my control, good or bad, are no match for God.  He spoke the universe into being and He is able to do the impossible.

God Loves Us Past Our Own Understanding

Ephesians 3:18  And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is.

Living in a three dimensional world, this verse hits home that Jesus loves us in a dimension that we don't even comprehend.  Meaning that He loves us on so many levels that transcend time, space and what we know.
