Blue Bell Creameries has suspended operations at their plant in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, to inspect the facility for shortcomings that might have led to the recent Listeria outbreak.

The company made the announcement Friday, April 3, stating the voluntary suspension is to, “ensure that we are doing everything possible to provide our consumers with safe products and to preserve the trust we have built with them and their families for more than a century.”

The creamery said they have notified the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and strive to remain transparent in the wake of the wave of contaminated products recalled last month.

Customers with concerns can contact Blue Bell at 979-836-7977.
