February 15, 2011 The Lubbock Lions Club, which set a Guinness World Record in 2009, will host its 59th Pancake Festival on Saturday at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center. January 24, 2011 Former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin will be in Lubbock today to speak at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center.
Palin is appearing as part of a fund-raiser for Lubbock Christian School. She is set to speak around 8 p.m. before a sold-out audience of about 1,400, who bought up tickets for the event within hours of her appearance’s being announced in September.
