Ever since George Lucas sold 'Star Wars' to Disney a year and a half ago, there's been word of sequels and spinoffs in the works. But the production of 'Star Wars: Episode 7' took longer to launch than expected, and so the effort to create those standalone films was put on the back burner. Now that 'Episode 7' is days away from shooting, Disney is beating the drum again, and have announced they'll be at least three new spinoffs coming before 2024.
Since Lucasfilm unveiled the cast of 'Star Wars: Episode 7' last week as they commenced with the first table read -- how do we put this bluntly? -- we've pretty much been taking anything we can get from the film. While Sunday's Star Wars Day was in full swing (and May the 4th still be with you always), Lucasfilm unveiled our first look at Peter Mayhew back in costume as Chewbacca.
We've got even more 'Star Wars' goodies for you! Director J.J. Abrams is getting in on the action today with a very special "video selfie" with screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan, wishing fans a happy 'Star Wars' day from the set of 'Star Wars: Episode 7' in London, and he seems to be teasing some additional casting.
Like so many 'SNL' scenes, the "Celebrity Family Feud" sketches are essentially an excuse to let a bunch of different cast members try out a variety of celebrity impersonations. But hey, we're not complaining, especially when they give guest host Andrew Garfield a chance to play a spot-on version of his 'The Social Network' co-star (and frequent 'SNL' host) Justin Timberlake.
If you get Andrew Garfield to host 'SNL' on the same weekend that 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' opens, you need to put him in the costume for at least one sketch. More importantly, you need to bring in his co-star Emma Stone, with whom he has incredible chemistry. But most importantly, you need to make sure that their sketch together is impossibly silly and makes fun of their on-screen romantic relationship. Yep, they've gone and done it: they've made kissing Spider-Man weird.
‘Game of Thrones‘ season 4 has been getting crazier by the week after only four episodes, but even those spoiled by George R.R. Martin‘s books need a bit of a refresher course to keep ahead of those wacky warmongering families. The Lannisters remain at the tippy top but seem to be dropping like flies (and hands), so we'd better tell you everything you need to know about ‘Game of Thrones’' House Lannister in 60 seconds before they're all gone!
