    Sprouts Farmers Market

    Kingsgate Center, 8201 Quaker Ave (806) 794-4900

For just under $4 you can get a made-to-order sandwich. Just think about how good a ham sandwich with lettuce, tomato, honey mustard and a spicy horseradish sauce on a honey wheat bun sounds.

    Potbelly Sandwich Shop

Another toasty sandwich option here in the Hub City, Potbelly offers several sub standbys, plus a specialty sandwich called "A Wreck." It's not a reference to Texas Tech's motto "wreck 'em," but it's still a solid choice and rings up at under $5.

    Schlotzsky's

    5204 Slide Road (806) 793-1233

Whether you're craving soup or a sandwich, Schlotzsky's has plenty to choose from on its massive menu. Many of their sandwiches do cost a little bit more ($5+), so weigh your wallet before you drive down.

    One Guy from Italy

    1011 University Ave (806) 747-1226

Lubbock doesn't have too many choices when it comes to pizza, franchise places excluded. One Guy From Italy has some money-saving meal deals during lunch hours (Mon. - Fri. from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.): a calzone and drink for $6, or two slices of pizza and drink for $6.

    Pete's Drive In #3

    4156 34th St (806) 792-2806

Most of the sandwiches here are around $6 (add $2-3 if you want a full meal). They offer a free drink when you like their Facebook page, so keep that in mind, too.
