After postponing several shows due to illness, Cher has canceled the rest of her Dressed to Kill (D2K) Tour.

Cher was originally scheduled to play Lubbock's United Supermarkets Arena Nov. 9, but postponed the show just days earlier.

According to the singer's publicist Liz Rosenberg, Cher's recovery hasn't been as quick as hoped.

"While her progress has been consistent, Cher's doctors have advised her to take more time to ensure a complete and total recovery," she said.

Cher released her own statement about the abrupt cancellation:

I am totally devastated. Nothing like this has ever happened to me. I cannot apologize enough to all the fans who bought tickets. I’m so proud of this show. It is my best ever. I sincerely hope that we can come back again next year and finish what we started.

Ticketholders for Cher's Lubbock show can receive a refund at the United Supermarkets Arena in Lubbock, www.selectaseatlubbock.com or 806-770-2000.
