Comfortable Shoes a Must at the Parade of Homes
The 2011 WTHBA “Parade of Homes” wraps up this week. Speaking of wrapping up, most of the homes on the tour provide little footie covers to wrap around your shoes. Some don’t. You’ll have to take your shoes off. This may seem like a small thing, but I heard a BUNCH of bellyaching about it when I took the tour on Sunday.
These homes are brand-new, have the very best flooring available in most cases and…more importantly…they haven’t been sold yet. Thousands of people will go through each home in the Parade and the best way to keep the homes as spot-free as possible is to ask everyone to remove their shoes.
Many of the builders even provide the little paper shoe covers like they use in hospitals. Those go pretty fast though, so the best thing is just to make sure you wear shoes that are easy to get on and off.
Flip flops are the most comfortable shoes in the world anyway, so why not throw on a pair before you hit the Parade of Homes this year?
