Dallas Car Thief Fails As He Underestimates His Victims

Luckily for car salesman Neil Brister, he was dealing with a criminal a little short in the brains department.

According to a report by WFAA-TV in Dallas-Ft. Worth, 21-year-old Isaac Smith took a pickup truck on a 35-minute test drive. The salesmen Brister did not go with him, which he later regrets.

Smith took the opportunity to copy the keys to the truck and he came back later and stole it off the lot.

Brister's wife thought they should check Craiglist and found an a matching the red chevy that was stolen, but then the ad change from red to a spray painted black truck. They called the authorities, who quickly found Smith still with black paint on his hand.

I guess he got caught painting red black-handed...or something like that.
