We never quite got the pull of the mobile game Draw Something.

Sure, it was fun to swap sketches of boobs and dismembered zombies to our friends, coworkers and your mom, but the lack of a competitive aspect made it get old quickly. It’s taken a while, and the developer’s takeover by monolithic Zynga, but the rest of the world is starting to get as sick of the game as we are.

The BBC reports the game’s daily active users have plummeted from 14.3 million to 10.4 million from April 2 to May 2. If the pace of people dropping the game keeps up, that means that not only will people have stopped playing the game entirely by August 2, but somehow negative 1.3 million people will be playing it. Which is about the same amount of active daily users as the 1986 NES game Urban Champion. Ugh, guess we’ll just have to go back to doing work during the day. OH THE HORROR OF EARNING A LIVING!

Zynga probably wishes it could take a mulligan on that silly $180 million it spent to buy Draw Something from  maker OMGPOP. Instead, company execs will have to resort to sending sketches of facepalms back and forth to one another.

How does a person draw ‘bad idea’?
