Additional Information

GreenFest is a fundraiser to celebrate the life of Daniel Green and to raise funds for a music scholarship to be given to South Plains College music students, in Daniel’s name. Greenfest will be held November 1st from 6pm until 2am at Bash Riprock’s at 2419 Main Street and will include live music from 7 incredible bands, and a live auction of a Tatum hand crafted green guitar.

Born and raised in Lubbock, Daniel graduated from Coronado High School.  He was a member of the Lubbock Youth Symphony Orchestra before attending Texas Tech and South Plains College where he studied music.  Music was Daniel's life, his love and his passion. Daniel Green was a phenomenal percussionist, and a great friend who was tragically killed on October 16, 2008, in a road rage incident following a minor traffic accident.

Friends and family of Daniel Green host an annual fundraiser in support of The Daniel Green Memorial Music Scholarship at South Plains College so that our beloved, Daniel, can continue to give the gift of music.
