Harry Belafonte Falls Asleep on Live Television [VIDEO]

On Friday’s KBAK-KBFX morning show, based in Bakerfield, California, legendary calypso singer Harry Belafonte dozed off before an interview, leaving anchor Leyla Santiago to awkwardly ask him to wake up repeatedly.

Santiago said, “Wake up, wake up! This is your wake-up call! Okay, I’ll tell you what, he’s meditating. He’s taking a little nap.”

Somebody off-camera then said, “Daylight hasn’t come yet.”
