High School Student Uses Fake Bomb to Ask Girl to Prom [Video]

It's prom season, and all across the country guys are trying to work up the nerve to ask a girl to the big event.

One way to ask is to get clever in hopes that the imagination and work it took to get creative will elicit a "yes" from the girl. However, one senior apparently didn't use common sense when he used a paintball vest to strap fake explosives to his body. Talk about how not to ask a girl the the prom!

La Center High senior Ibrahim Ahmad got up during lunch in an attempt to go big with his promposal, writing on a poster board: “I kno it’s a little late, but I’m kinda…THE BOMB! Rilea, will U be my date to prom?”

Fortunately for Ahmad, Rilea did say yes.

Unfortunately, the school failed to see the humor in the request and instead, granted him a five-day suspension -- a window that included the prom.

While they won't be dancing with classmates, they will have a nice dinner date.

In another Promposal gone wrong, check out the video below of Daniel's clever way to ask which, when wrongly interpreted by his friend Alex, actually brought the girl to tears due to her comments.

Daniel actually posted signs on the road he was planning on driving down with the girl that read: "Alex. Will. You. Marry. LOL Jk. Go To. Prom. With Me."

The girl Alex exclaims while reading the signs (and not realizing they were directed toward her): "That's a s----y way to ask someone to prom." When she finally realizes that they were directed toward her, tears ensue!
