Kraft Recalls Macaroni & Cheese Dinners for Metal Contamination

Kraft Foods Group has voluntarily recalled an estimated 242,000 cases of macaroni and cheese believing some may be contaminated with small pieces of metal.

The group said only original flavor 7.25 ounce Kraft Macaroni & Cheese Dinner products with “Best Used by Dates” between September 18, 2015 and October 11, 2015 with the marking “C2” below the dating are affected by the recall.

Additional affected products may have shipped in multi-packs; a table listing the recalled packs has been released.

Eight customers affected by the product had already contacted the group, with none reporting injuries, said Kraft.

Kraft asks that affected customers return the product to the store they purchased it from, or to contact their customer relations department at 1-800-816-9432.
