The 22nd Annual Llano Estacado Grape Day and 2nd Annual Texas Wine Half Marathon is this Saturday, October 17 at the Llano Estacado Winery, 3.2 miles east of U.S. 87 on FM 1585.

The festivities begin at 10 a.m. and last until 5 p.m. Grape day is the largest celebration of the harvest and the fruits of Llano's labors.

The half marathon and 5K benefit the Southwest Parkinson Society and is a great way to start the day. Registration for this event includes the $5 admission fee for Grape Day, and both entries come with a commemorative glass to keep and tickets for a glass of wine.

Then you can reward yourself with wine. Llano will be pouring around three dozen different wines throughout the day, including whites, reds and a selection of Raider Wines.

Featured vendors include: Jessalynn's Accessories, Carol's Crafts, Flipapik, G&G Scrollsaw Works, Scentsy by cindi Hamm, Momrobilia, Good Karma Cigar and the Pampered Chef.

Local food vendors include: Pecan Ridge, Dion's Pizza, United Supermarket and The Twisted Texan.

Wine and food pairings will be provided by Pecan Ridge and Gulf Coast Shrimp by Carlos Rangel of the Bridge of Lubbock.

And if that wasn't enough, Bo Garza will be playing live music and there will also be a huge screen TV set up to watch Texas Tech play Oklahoma State.

Families are welcome, and there will be a bounce house for the kiddos and kid-related vendors on hand, too.

Tickets are available at the door Saturday. For more info on the half marathon or 5K, visit Llano's official website or call (806) 745-2258 and we'll see you there for a grape time!
