RUDY’S “COUNTRY STORE” AND BAR-B-Q CELEBRATES 175 YEARS OF TEXAS INDEPENDENCE BY OFFERING A QUARTER POUND OF BRISKET FOR 32-CENTS ON MARCH 2ND FROM 2 P.M. TO 4 P.M.
Each 32-cent payment during special discount hours plus 50 cents for every new Facebook “Like” and Twitter follower from February 23rd to March 2nd will be donated to Texas Children’s Hospital
LAKEWAY, TX, February 24, 2011 – Rudy’s “Country Store” and Bar-B-Q celebrates 175 years of Texas Independence by offering a quarter pound of its famous brisket for 32 cents on March 2nd from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Each 32 cent payment collected during the special offer hours will be donated to Texas Children’s Hospital.
In addition, 50 cents will be added to the donation for every new Facebook “Like” (http://facebook.com/rudysbbq) and Twitter follower (http://twitter.com/rudysbbq) as part of Rudy’s Bar-B-Q’s Follow2Support program, a cause-related social media initiative that benefits charities.
“Rudy’s Bar-B-Q is proud of its Texas roots. We are looking forward to celebrating 175 years of Texas Independence by offering a quarter pound of brisket for 32-cents signifying the importance of the date, March 2nd (3/2), and at the same time, help a great cause,” said Pete Bassett, Rudy’s Bar-B-Q VP of Operations. “This is the second year we have rolled out this special offer to our guests so we hope it becomes an annual tradition.”
Last year, Rudy’s Bar-B-Q raised more than $10,000 for the Clinton-Bush Haiti Fund with its Texas Independence Day special offer and Follow2Support initiative.
The special offer is limited to one per customer and is only available at participating Rudy’s Bar-B-Q locations.
