A shooting in Lubbock Saturday night left one person with multiple gunshot wounds.

The Lubbock Police Department said several 911 calls were received at around 9:30 p.m. Saturday night claiming there were shots fired near 54th Street and Chicago Ave.

Upon arriving to the area, officers discovered a single victim suffering from numerous gunshot wounds.

The victim, whose name has not been released by police, was transported to UMC with non-life threatening injuries. They were later released.

According to police, the victim was in their vehicle stopped at a stop sign when a car pulled alongside them with an unknown number of suspects inside. The suspect(s) fired several shots, striking the victim several times.

The suspect's vehicle fled the scene northbound on Chicago Ave. and has not been located.
