I had the opportunity to talk with Luke Wade from NBC's "The Voice." The singer revealed some surprising details about what it's like filming the show.

Wade revealed that the best thing about being behind the scenes of "The Voice" is that all the judges really want you to succeed.

The weirdest thing about being on the other side of what we see as the viewers is that they (the staff) many times start at 4:30 in the morning and may not get finished until 1:30 or 2 a.m. the next morning, Wade explained.

He added that some of the contestants might sleep the remaining four hours left in the day until they start over, but many use that time to work on their songs. Meaning they sometimes stay up two days in a row.

Wade will perform live this Saturday night (Jan. 10) at Jake's Backroom at Slide & 50th Street in Lubbock.
