Almost four years since it opened its last Market Street location, United Supermarkets will cut the ribbon on a “fresh” new store Wednesday, Jan. 9, following a brief ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8 a.m.

The store will be the company’s 11th location under the Market Street banner and third in Lubbock. At just over 71,000 square feet, it will be the largest United store in the city and the second to be open 24 hours a day.

The ceremony will take place on Wednesday morning at 8 a.m. It will take place inside the store due to the expectation of inclement weather.

The new Market Street is located at 4425 19th Street (19th and Quaker)

The ceremony will include a check presentation from United Supermarkets and Western Union on behalf of Lemonade Day.
