Nike's first Factory Store opens Thursday, November 5, 2015 at 10 a.m. in Lubbock at the West End Shopping Center, 2910 West Loop 289, Suite #805.

The new store will celebrate the intense love of football we West Texans have and work to inspire athletes in all sports.

They will offer a wide variety of running, training and sportswear merchandise for athletes of all fitness levels. The story will also carry localized pieces, too. To us laymen, this means Texas Tech gear.

Another cool feature is a service that allows customers to purchase from Nike's website and in-store, in a single mobile transaction, with no shipping cost to their home.

Employees in the Lubbock store will also be engaging as Nike Community Ambassadors, volunteering hours to help inspire local youth to get more active.

We spoke with Lisa Beachy, the Communications Manager for Nike, who said the best time to shop to avoid crowds coming up this close to the holidays is now. She said that parking is optimum, since all of the stores have yet to open at the West End Shopping Center.

Beachy also said that customers can expect factory discount priced items, as well as full priced merchandise at the store. If they don't have your size in an item, an associate (or "athlete") can pull up the Nike website on their handheld device and, if they have it, you can purchase it that way and it will be shipped to your home free.

The first 200 customers at the grand opening will receive a gift card and there will also be registration for a $500 gift card.
