No. 19 Red Raiders Travel to Albuquerque to Take On Lobos
The No. 19 Texas Tech baseball team (18-10) closes out March by playing the first midweek road game of the season Tuesday as they travel to Albuquerque to take on the University of New Mexico (14-11).
The Red Raiders and Lobos face off for the second time in a week. UNM defeated Tech 7-6 at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park last Tuesday.
The Lobos have won the last three meetings between the two in Albuquerque, including a 4-3 win last April 21.
Tech's last win over UNM in Albuquerque was a 9-5 victory at Isotopes Field on April 24, 2012.
New Mexico is 9-7 at home this season. Tuesday’s game is the seventh game in its last eight overall. The Lobos have won three of the last four games, including taking 2-of-3 from Fresno State in a Mountain West Conference series in Albuquerque.
Tech is 3-6 on the road in 2015.
The Red Raiders are coming off a Big 12 Conference series win defeating Kansas in 2-of-3 games played at Dan Law Field over the weekend.
Tech will return home when the No. 2 TCU Horned Frogs come to Dan Law Field for a three game Big 12 series scheduled for Thursday-Saturday.
The first pitch is slated for Tuesday's game is 3 p.m. CDT from Lobo Field.
