Old-school crooner Jerry Vale died yesterday, after several years of declining health. He was 83 years old.

Vale was big in the '50s and '60s, with hits like "Volare" and "You Don't Know Me".  Even after his album sales dried up, he remained a popular nightclub act.

He also appeared as himself in the movies "Goodfellas" and "Casino", and on the HBO series "The Sopranos".  In 1998, he was an honorary pallbearer at Frank Sinatra's funeral.
