On This Day in 1968 – Janis & Big Brother Are Certified Gold

On this day in 1968 the album 'Cheap Thrills', by Big Brother & The Holding Company, featuring the mind-blowing vocals of  Janis Joplin, was certified Gold.

It went Double Platinum in March of 2001.
