On This Day in 1968 – The Beatles ‘White Album’ Goes Gold
On this day in 1968 the album 'The Beatles', better known as "The White Album", was certified Gold.
It went 19-TIMES PLATINUM in February of 2001.
The album included "Back in the USSR"
"Glass Onion"
"Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da"
"Why Don't We Do It in the Road?"
"Birthday"
"Helter Skelter" (Which is actually about a roller coaster...not murder)
"While My Guitar Gently Weeps" (The best song on the album, in my opinion.)
