On This Day in 1980 – The Blues Brothers Go Gold

On this day in 1980 The "Blues Brothers" soundtrack went Gold.  It would go Platinum in February of 1998.

I'm pretty sure the 'Blues Brothers 2000' soundtrack didn't do quite as well.

Anyway, my favorite track on the album was theor awesome version of 'Rawhide'!

The biggest chart hit from the album was their version of Sam & Dave's 'Soul Man'...written by Isaac Hayes and produced by Steve Cropper, who was a member of the Blues Brothers band!
