On This Day in 1989 – The Berlin Wall Falls and ‘The Hoff’ Sings for the Celebrating Germans

On this day in 1989 the Berlin Wall started to come down. East Germany opened its heavily guarded borders at 11:17 P.M., and Krazy Krauts celebrated by dancing atop the wall in lederhosen and chipping away at it with hammers.

The celebrating Germans also got a free concert from one of their heroes…David Hasselhoff!

Here’s video of ‘The Hoff’ singing one of his HUGE hits in Germany, “Looking for Freedom”, on the ruins of the wall the following New Year’s Eve.

You may or may not know this, but…’DON’T HASSLE THE HOFF‘!!!
