Texas Tech Football head coach Kliff Kingsbury and players DeAndre Washington and Micah Awe spoke to the media after Saturday's 55-52 loss to TCU.

Kingsbury bluntly said that his team didn't make enough plays to win the game.

"We didn't execute like we should have," Kingsbury said. "I think that game was ours to win at times, and we didn't get it done, coaches and players, and we've got to get better."

The Red Raiders didn't turn the ball over in the loss. A three-and-out on their drive with 4:44 left in the game, deep in Texas Tech territory, allowed TCU to have enough time, and good field position, to move the ball down the field for the winning score.

Washington led the Red Raiders offense with 188 yards rushing on 22 carries and four touchdowns. During the second half, Washington was able to extend drives and help chew some time off the clock.

Concerning the loss, Awe said: "It's not a funeral, just a game. We have to regroup and get ready for Baylor next week."

Next week, Texas Tech plays against Baylor in a neutral site match-up at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. Kickoff is at 2:30 p.m. on either ABC, ESPN or ESPN2.
