'Rolling Stone' is revealing their list of the Top 50 Greatest Hip-Hop Songs of All Time in this week's issue. And the top spot goes to Grandmaster Flash's "The Message", which was released in 1982.

Here's that classic video:

'Rolling Stone' described the song as, quote, "The first to tell, with hip-hop's rhythm and vocal force, the truth about modern inner-city life in America."

"Rapper's Delight" by the Sugarhill Gang came in second. It came out in 1979:
