The first sellout for Texas Tech Football (3-0, 0-0) this season will be Saturday's game against no. 3 TCU (3-0, 0-0).

Texas Tech vs. TCU is the Big 12 Conference opener for both teams and the game will kickoff at 3:45 p.m. on FOX. Saturday's game will be the eighth sellout since the start of the 2013 season.

“We couldn’t be more excited for our opportunity this weekend,” Texas Tech Football head coach Kliff Kingsbury said. “Our fans continue to prove why they are the best in the country. We can’t wait to see Jones AT&T Stadium rocking this Saturday afternoon!”

Former Texas Tech All-American linebacker Zach Thomas (1992-95) will be honored during Saturday's game for his induction into the National Football Foundation Hall of Fame. A Pampa native, Thomas will become the fifth Red Raider to be enshrined into the College Football Hall of Fame in December, joining Gabe Rivera (2012), Dave Parks (2008), Donny Anderson (1989) and E.J. Holub (1986).

This Saturday, Countdown to Kickoff can be heard on air and online at SportsRadio 1340 The Fan from 12:30-2:30 p.m., previewing the Texas Tech-TCU game.
