Snowy, Icy Monday Drive In Lubbock February 23, 2015 [Video]

A little glimpse of my ride into work today. I traveled 82nd Street from MLK to Quaker.

It wasn't as treacherous as I was anticipating. Having said that, I do want to stress that it is still icy on the roads, so please be careful.

If you do have to get out today, let your car warm up, leave earlier than you would normally, leave plenty of room between you and other cars and keep your speed down.  Also, don't forget to gently tap your brakes, to avoid slipping and spinning. And take an ice scraper and some de-icer -- it works wonders.

Be sure to let your car warm up before leaving work or school this afternoon.
