‘Soul Train’ Creator Don Cornelius Commits Suicide

'Soul Train' creator Don Cornelius was found dead at his Sherman Oaks on home Wednesday morning. Law enforcement sources said police arrived at Cornelius' home around 4 a.m. He apparently died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was 75.

Don's seven and a half year marriage ended bitterly. When Cornelius divorced his wife in 2009, he told a Los Angeles judge that he was suffering from "significant health issues" and wanted to "finalize this divorce before I die."

Cornelius stopped hosting 'Soul Train' in 1993, and the show went off the air in 2006.
