The Beatles have been the subject of countless books and films, but that doesn’t mean we’ve seen everything there is to see about the Fab Four. Case in point: ‘The Beatles: On the Road 1964-1966,’ a lavish new collection of photos taken by legendary photographer Harry Benson during the band’s early years.
A restored and remastered edition of the animated Beatles film ‘Yellow Submarine’ will be making the rounds at movie houses around the country prior to its June 5 release on DVD and Blu-Ray. Beginning May 5, ‘Yellow Submarine’ will make its way across the country for brief, limited engagements.
The Beatles will soon be hitting the big screen once again. Recently restored footage of the group’s first full concert in the United States at the Washington Coliseum in Washington, D.C. will be shown in movie theaters next month.

April 4, 2012 Paul McCartney's son James McCartney says that he's talked to John Lennon's son Sean and George Harrison's son Dhani about forming a band together.
During his concert at the Royal Albert Hall on Thursday (March 29), Paul McCartney got by with a little help from his friends (officially the 1,587,204th time someone has referenced that song in an article about a guest appearance at a concert by a Beatle). Ronnie Wood, Roger Daltrey and Paul Weller sat in with McCartney’s band for a performance of the Beatles 1969 hit,’Get Back.’
More than four decades after the sessions for the album, a previously unheard George Harrison guitar solo for the Beatles‘ ‘Abbey Road’ classic ‘Here Comes the Sun’ has been discovered — and not only can you hear it, you can see video of the track being heard for the first time by George’s son Dhani, producer George Martin’s son Giles, and George Martin himself, who admits he’d forgotten the solo even existed.
It seems Sir Paul McCartney has no intention of spending his ‘golden years’ on the front porch reminiscing about the old days. He’s too busy looking at the road ahead. With a new album, ‘Kisses On The Bottom’, due out on Valentine’s Day, word now comes that the man will be performing on this year’s Grammy Awards broadcast, Feb. 12.

When guitarist Rudolf Schenker formed the Scorpions in 1965, British Invasion rock ’n’ roll bands were riding a commercial high and leaving their mark on fans and aspiring musicians around the world.
They included Schenker and his fellow German band mates, who honor such British rock royalty as the Beatles, the Rolling Stones and the Kinks on ‘Comeblack,’ the forthcoming Scorpions studio album.
Vinyl aficionados are a special breed. Some feel the medium is the only one that does justice to older recordings, while others enjoy listening to even newer music on actual records instead of more modern CDs or digital formats — and both groups are well-represented in the just-released list of 2011′s top-selling vinyl albums.
