Fifty Shades of Grey

In a development likely to give Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan some sense of relief, Universal has officially decided to shoot Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed back to back, giving its actors a chance to fulfill their commitments to the troubled franchise in one fell swoop. In addition, the studio has confirmed James Foley to direct both sequels, with author E.L. James’ husband Niall Leonard adapting both stories for the big screen.

Christian will have his say in EL James' forthcoming 'Grey' novel, and there's a few things we hope the cagey, smoldering billionaire will cover.

Christian Grey is an unusual guy. He’s the world’s most eligible billionaire bachelor and an enormously powerful businessman. He’s an avid jogger, an exceptional piano player, and a licensed helicopter pilot. He also really like the color gray. He wears gray suits and ties, drives a gray car to his gray office building (which is called Grey House) under gray Seattle skies, where his assistant dresses in—you guessed it—gray. (For the record, his office chairs are white but the couches are gray too.) And, oh yeah, he’s into kinky sex, including bondage, spanking, and domination.

There's a new teaser trailer out for the upcoming '50 Shades of Grey' movie and while it isn't much (the video is less than 20 seconds long), in this case less is definitely more.

At long last, our national nightmare is over: Universal and Focus Features have found their leads for the upcoming adaptation of '50 Shades of Grey.' Dakota Johnson of 'The Social Network' has been cast as Anastasia Steele, the college student who enters into a dominant/submissive relationship with enigmatic businessman Christian Grey because fairy tales do come true, or something. It's going to be a while before the 'Fifty Shades of Grey' movie hits theaters...there's not even a script yet...but author E.L. James already has some songs in mind for the soundtrack.
