I have a buddy that has this amazing ability to talk his way out of speeding tickets. He gets more warning than any human deserves. Me? NEVER have I been given a warning.

Now, here's the good part. This is from a cop friend of mine. He said there are 5 things you can do when you get pulled over that will increase your odds of getting a warning or no ticket at all. Beyond being polite and respectful, here are the things you've probably never heard or done:

Lubbock Law Enforcement Officers Carry the Torch for Special Olympics Texas

Law Enforcement Torch Run officers are hitting the streets of Lubbock to mark the start of the Special Olympics Texas Summer Games competition. At 8:00 a.m. on May 23, torch runners will depart for the Summer Games Final Leg from the Civic Center, located at 1501 Mac Davis Lane in Lubbock. From there, they’ll run along Avenue Q and end their trek at the Byron Martin Advanced Technology Center, located at 3201 Avenue Q.

Some jerk recently hit my mom's brand-new car while it was parked in the parking lot at Covenant hospital. It was a hit and run. No note. Nothing. So, my mom had to call an officer to her house to take the police report for insurance purposes. The first thing that came to my mind was that the officer probably had better things to do than come take some lady's police report that day.
