The 'Paradise by the Dashboard Light' singer posed for this picture for his Facebook page Monday afternoon, taken just minutes before he was set to go under the knife. An unidentified poster writes that the recovery process will take about two weeks.

Meat Loaf was an actor and little-known singer with one minor album and an appearance in 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show' to his credit before he released 'Bat Out of Hell' in 1977.
