Police used a photo to identify the body of recent Texas Tech graduate Mason Hart, who was found dead in the Bahamas Wednesday, July 29.

Hart's body was found floating in the water with no clothes, wallet or identification.

KAMC News reports that following graduation, Hart went on an adventure in the Bahamas. His family last heard from him on the night of July 28, when Mason was messaging his sister on Facebook.

A GoFundMe page has been set up for Hart’s family to raise money to help cover the costs of bringing him back to the U.S. It's already exceeded its goal of $4,500.

According to the page, a $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the recovery of the boat that Mason was last seen on, which went missing from Guana Cay.

An autopsy is scheduled for the morning of Tuesday, August 4. However, Hart’s family is hoping to delay the autopsy so they have time to conduct their own investigation.
