Tubby Smith and his men's basketball program wrapped up their Canadian Tour with an undefeated 4-0 record.

Texas Tech defeated McGill University (54-46) Sunday in Montreal, Laval University (88-53) Monday in Quebec City and Carleton University (67-60) Wednesday in Ottawa.

Tech closed out the four-game trip by draining 9 of 12 three pointers while shooting 60 percent from the floor during the second half of an 84-65 win over Ottawa University Thursday at Champlain Gymnasium.

"We just have to keep reminding ourselves and reminding the players of what we were able to accomplish,” Smith said. “That’s what you can point to from these four games. You can reflect back on these moments and be able to use them when we have some adversity during the season. That is what the team bonding is all about. They can pick each other up, and they can encourage each other. That is what is going to help them throughout the season"

The Canadian Tour provides a positive glimpse into the upcoming basketball season. These Red Raiders showed they could win in different ways, from grinding out a low scoring affair to pouring in 80 plus twice.

Jordan Jackson provided a killer instinct previously missing from this team. He showed he wasn't afraid to pull the trigger at any point on the floor. If he can blossom into the kind of true scorer this team has been sorely missing, look for positive things and possibly a post-season birth.
