In a recent interview, William Shatner pulled no punches, calling "Star Wars" derivative of "Star Trek" and saying the only thing it had over "Trek" was the advanced special effects.

He said, "'Star Trek' had relationships and conflict among the relationships, and stories that involved humanity and philosophical questions 'Star Wars' was special effects."

Then Shatner put the final nail in the coffin, by pointing out that the effects in the new J.J. Abrams "Trek" movies are so up-to-date that they've basically made "Star Wars" irrelevant.

He said, "There's a resurgence of 'Star Trek'...that supersedes 'Star Wars' on every level...so 'Star Wars' has nothing to stand on."

He also wore a terrible shirt to the interview. Seriously. Aside from being ugly, it's about three sizes too small.

Speaking of "Star Wars", NASA has discovered a planet from which you could actually see a double sunset...just like Luke Skywalker did on Tatooine. You can read more about it here.
