This Mother’s Day, Your Mom Wants a Spa Day, Brunch and Booze
The online restaurant reservations company OpenTable surveyed moms to find out what they want for Mother's Day this year.
And no offense, but the most-popular gift is one that gets her away from you. 28% of moms want a day at the spa and the same number want a weekend getaway.
21% want flowers, and 12% prefer jewelry...but 11% are hoping to get an iPad.
Mom also wants to be fed on her special day: 58% of moms are expecting brunch, 39% want to be taken out to dinner...and 25% want BOTH.
Finally, four in five moms plan to DRINK on Mother's Day.
Another survey found that 85% of people think their mom wants a personalized Mother's Day present instead of an expensive one. And 53% of people under age 35 feel guilty that their gift isn't personal enough.
