If The Beatles were a Hollywood movie, they would have been RE-MADE. Several times. There would also be a few sequels, and maybe a TV show on the CW network.

But even though they were a band, there COULD be a 'Beatles 2' on the horizon.

Paul McCartney's son James McCartney says that he's talked to John Lennon's son Sean and George Harrison's son Dhani about forming a band together.

There's just one problem: Ringo Starr's son Zak isn't into it. Fortunately he has another son, Jason, who also plays drums, but it's unclear if he's interested.

James says, quote, "I don't think it's something that Zak wants to do. Maybe Jason would want to do it. I'd be up for it. Sean seemed to be into it, Dhani seemed to be into it. I'd be happy to do it."

Late last night, James threw a little water on the 'Beatles 2' talk, but he didn't completely shut it down. In a Facebook post, he said, "Well, looks like quite some attention being given to my BBC interview! Honestly, I was just thinking out loud about playing with Beatles family friends, nothing more. My band's going to be on tour in the UK and US for most of this year, and the shows are going great!"

Still, if this happens, it would be a BIG DEAL. They'd sell out shows, even if they weren't any good together. It would be an EVENT.

There's no comment from Sean, Dhani, Zak or Jason.
